This is a special vintage of Chinuri as it includes the skins of Chkhavei. When he removed the Chinuri from the skins the qvevri was not completely full. In order to make it full he used the skins of Chkhaveri. This resulted in a coppery colored wine with deep aromas. The Chkhaveri (a Gris variety) imparts a spicy woodsiness to the grapes typical citrus and blossom aromas. The long maceration imparts a tannic bite similar to classical amber wines but with lower alcohol and increased acidity.
